Base FX begins a 14-day tour, to colleges in Northeast China, on Tuesday November 22nd. The speakers include Base FX Vice President and VPO, Neil Xie with Animation Supervisor and Look Development Director, Kailun. The Theme of the Tour is “Achieve” -- How to Fulfill Your Dream in the Visual Effects Industry. The speakers will share their ideas about the history, future of the industry, the pipeline and skills needed when handling complex shots, as well as some suggestions and advice for students interested in entering the industry.
During the tour, Base FX will go to Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin and Dalian to visit colleges such as Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, Northeastern University, University of Science and Technology Liaoning, Jilin Animation Institute, Jilin College Of The Arts, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Harbin Normal University, Dalian Nationalities University, Dalian University Art College, Dalian Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, and Dalian Jiaotong University.

FYI: During the tour in the first half of the year (April 12th - May 27th, 2011), the company visited 15 colleges in Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Shanghai. Christopher Bremble, Base FX Founder and CEO, spoke about “VFX in 2015: Future of Film” to an audience of more than 1,500 "future artists".
