Overview Project Managers work directly with our clients, coordinate a team of production artists, and oversee the VFX post-production for major U.S. and Chinese theatrical films. Our current clients include Disney, HBO, Universal, and Sony Pictures. Project Managers are supported by the company's creative and technical supervisors; though some film and visual effects knowledge is helpful, experience in the visual effects industry is not required. The position requires a strong, organized communicator who works well under deadlines and can motivate a team of young, creative artists in a fast-paced environment. Core Responsibilities · Lead the planning, scheduling and implementation of projects. · Help define project tasks and resource requirements. · Coordinate project staff. · Manage project resource allocation. · Track project deliverables using appropriate tools. · Provide direction and support to project team. · Ensure quality. · Constantly monitor and regularly report on project progress, problems and solutions. · Reflect and measure project success through evaluations and results assessment. · Work closely with clients to determine priorities, milestones, and desired outcomes. · Clearly and professionally communicate project progress to client on a daily basis. · Ensure production artists receive client feedback clearly and quickly. · Accurately respond to client requests in a timely manner; adjust and adapt project priorities as required. · Reflect and measure project success through evaluations and results assessment. Requirements · Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. · Proven ability to motivate a team. · Strong ability to multi-task. · Flexibility; adapting and adjusting to a rapidly changing environment. · Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines · Mature, responsible, and reliable. · Highly organized, with an attention to detail. · Previous management experience. · Native English or native-level fluency. · Intermediate Mandarin Chinese. · Experience with Mac OS. · Good sense of humor (or ability to fake it). Strongly Preferred · Fluency in Mandarin Chinese. · Two years post production or VFX industry experience. · Strong leadership skills. · Previous experience working in a Chinese office environment.
